Privacy Policy

Introduction

The South Florida Aerospace Council (“the Council,” “we,” “us”) operates this website to connect aerospace stakeholders across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

This policy applies to the sfaerospace.org website only. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, which are governed by their own policies.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address via the welcome-gate subscription form. Submitting that form initiates a Mailchimp double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and are added to the list only after you click the confirmation link.
• Name, email address, organization (optional), and message via the inquiry form (“Get in contact”). This information is delivered to the Council inbox via Resend. You may also opt in to the mailing list from that form; if you do, the same double opt-in flow applies.

Information collected automatically: We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless. Vercel records the page path, referrer, device type, and country-level geography. No personally identifying information is collected, no cookies are set, and visitor data is hashed and discarded within 24 hours. We do not build profiles of individual visitors.

How we use this information

• Email addresses collected via the subscription form are used to send the Council's email communications (news, updates, event notices). You will receive these only after confirming your subscription.
• Inquiry submissions are used solely to respond to your message. If you checked the mailing-list opt-in on the inquiry form, your email is also added to the list (after confirmation).
• Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand site traffic and improve the site. It is never used to identify or track individuals.

Third-party service providers

We work with the following service providers to operate the site. Each receives only the data necessary for its function.

• Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC): manages the email list and sends confirmation and list emails. Privacy policy: mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.
• Resend: delivers inquiry-form submissions to the Council inbox. Resend receives the name, email, organization, and message you submit. Privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Cal.com: the “Schedule a meeting” link in the inquiry thank-you step opens Cal.com in a new window. The Council's site does not send any data to Cal.com; scheduling is governed by Cal.com's own privacy policy: cal.com/privacy.
• Vercel: hosts the site and provides cookieless analytics (described above). Privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Email communications

Subscription to the Council's mailing list is confirmed opt-in: we send a confirmation email before adding your address to the list. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You may unsubscribe at any time, and we will remove you promptly.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets one cookie: sfac_gate. It is a functional cookie that remembers you have dismissed the welcome message, so it does not appear on subsequent visits. It expires after one year, stores no personal data, and is not used for tracking or advertising.

No other cookies are set by this site. For more detail, see our Cookie Notice.

Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless and collects no personally identifying information. It does not use browser fingerprinting or persistent identifiers. We see only aggregate patterns such as which pages are visited and which country traffic originates from.

Links to other sites

The site links to third-party publications, organizations, and websites the Council does not control. Following those links is subject to the privacy practices of the destination site.

Data retention

Mailing-list subscribers remain on the list until they unsubscribe or request removal. Inquiry submissions are retained in the Council inbox only as long as needed to address the inquiry. Cookieless analytics data is discarded by Vercel within 24 hours at the visitor-hash level.

Your choices

• To unsubscribe from Council emails, click the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
• To request deletion of your information, contact us at admin@sfaerospace.org. We will respond and act promptly.
• To remove the sfac_gate cookie, use your browser's cookie-management settings. The only effect is that the welcome message will reappear on your next visit.

We do not sell personal information

The Council does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any third party.

Children

This site is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Governing law

The applicable jurisdiction and governing law for this policy are pending review by the Council's counsel.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
